Roku TV unveiling at CES

While last year at CES, the Roku makers talked about an Roku TV sets, they are bringing alone two new ones with 4K added to them.  Best Buy's Insignia brand and appliance maker Haier will carry the new Roku TV models this year.  The two sets will come at 32 inches and 65 inches and default with Roku's Operating System as the main interface for browsing on the TV. Roku also offers over 2,000 different channels for the consumers.  Have no idea who would need that many, but no more than a few hundred channels.  But this is what makes Roku so popular in the first place with its top-box sets.

The Insignia-brand Roku TVs are suppose to release this spring, while the Haier model is to release in the fall of this year.  No prices have been announced just yet.  While Net-flix is starting to roll out 4K video streaming, Roku says it is next to roll out the 4K  quality as well.

So, is the Roku TV the next TV that you will purchase?  Is it even consider a smartTV or iTV?  I would like to know your thoughts below.  Drop a comment after the break...
